Bridges of the Tyne, 8th July 2025

Another warm evening for this year’s edition of Bridges of the Tyne, 5 miles out and back along the Quayside, running past and under the eponymous Bridges of Tyne, Millenium, Swing, High Level, Queen Elizabeth II, King Edward VII and Redheugh, with the turning point coming just after the car park that will be familiar to runners of the Claremont Winter Handicap!

In his Bridges of the Tyne debut, Mark Anderson not only finished an impressive 29th in a field of over 500, but carried on his podium-placing streak, coming first in his age category, over a minute ahead of his nearest rival.

Well done to all Claremonters, and to Tyne Bridge Harriers for another well-organised event.
