Cancelled Royal Signals Relays, 14th February 2026

With the paths in Hetton Lyons Country Park thick with ice in places, the race organisers had little choice other than to postpone the Royal Signals Relay races.

A number of Claremont Road Runners had already made their way down to the park, and, as it was a glorious sunny day (albeit very cold!), we decided to make the most of it. Some of us just walked around the course, but the more intrepid went for a run anyway, going onto the grass where the paths were too dangerous to run on,

Make a note in your diaries that the relays have been rescheduled for Saturday 14th March.
