Hamsterley Half-Marathon, 26th April 2026

While the eyes of the running world were focussed on London, three Claremont Road Runners headed south, but not quite so far, to the beautiful setting of Hamsterley Forest. Lena Lou and Lucy Ward took on the challenge of the half-marathon, while Rob Ward settled for the 10K.

It may not have been as far as the London race, but Hamsterley definitely presents its own challenges with its ‘undulating’ trails. In the words of Lucy: “I learnt today, I prefer up down up down up down NOT up up up down down down.”
